Southend-on-Sea is home to the world’s longest pleasure pier, stretching 1.34 miles into the Thames Estuary. Spend the day exploring Clifton Terrace and the scenic Cliff Gardens, where the historic Southend Cliff Railway guides you down from the panoramic Clifton Terrace, through the gardens down to the Western Esplanade offering picturesque views of the coast throughout the journey.
