Tower Of London VE Day Poppies

The Tower of London is set to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War

To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, the Tower of London will feature a poignant display of 30,000 ceramic poppies from 6th of May to 11th November 2025. These poppies, on loan from the Imperial War Museum, will form a new installation designed by Tom Piper, symbolizing a 'wound' at the heart of the Tower—a site that endured bombing during the Blitz.

This display offers visitors an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made during World War II and the resilience demonstrated during and after the conflict. The exhibition is part of a series of events planned nationwide to honor this significant anniversary.
