Jodrell Bank Radio Observatory

Jodrell Bank Radio Observatory, located in Cheshire, England is home to the famous Lovell Telescope, completed in 1957 with a diameter of 76 metres.

In addition to the Lovell Telescope there are 3 other telecopes within Jodrell Bank including Mark II.

The observatory has made significant contributions to discoveries of space including radio astronomy, study of cosmic rays and space missions.

Onsite you will have access to a variety of centres and hubs showcasing history of the site and the development over the years.

There is an onsite cafe avaliable to grab a hot drink and some lunch.
